Booking an AA flight using BA miles

Do I need to use the BA rewards booking tool to book a rewards flight on AA, or is there another way to do it, like finding a flight using AA's rewards booking tool and calling up BA with the info.

You can search AA but only look at the Saaver awards- those are the only seats BA would have access to. Once you find availability you can go to the BA site to book or if they dont show up you can try calling BA.
