If you have a family share plan, you can upgrade one of your lines (not the one with unlimited data) and use the discounted phone on your line. I just spoke to verizon on friday and they told me it will work.

i just did this for my wife who had unlimited data, i used my mothers upgrade, and then just gave the phone to my wife (esp bec my mom doesnt need a new phone )

If they switch they will get kicked off unlimited data and well have only the shared plan which wont be enough for everyone. Verizon told me that if I pay full price and dont use an upgrade for the phone then I can keep my unlimited plan.. Seems like a real scam.. How can they do this?

They can do whatever they want! It's your choice to sign a contract. It stinks. We also pay a fortune in this country.

its absolutletly nuts! in america my basic phone is almost just as expensive as my golan plan in IL and in IL i can call us which makes it so worth it!

When Golan introduces free US roaming you can use your Golan SIM in the US

Are you saying a <100ILS/month Golan Unl. sim works for unl. data on AT&T in the USA?

i am not i am saying that its in roaming.... do i know if golan will charge me?!?! well lets put it this way, i got golan in june - i went to greece for a week in july and used my phone there, so far i never had a bill from them yet, so i have no idea whats going on to be honest :-)   who knows one day i might have a 1500$ bill .... though i am saying that once i got back here to USA it went to AT&T or t mobile (wtvr i chose) ad when i was in greece it was on thier network
