Jordon just seems alot more radical than Turkey, Turkey is a country leaning towards the Arab movement, and has a stick up with Israel, but its not an Arab country

They are on better terms politically, but at least to me its more scary to fly through. Would you fly through Jordon?

Possibly, When i flew through IST 4 times this year it felt like a regular airport in USA and i was fine, but something gives me the jitters about Amman.

Do you know anyone that flew VIA Amman?

The same risk as walking through the Arab shuk in Israel. Do you not think every Arab there is looking at you and thinking of throwing something at you? And do you think security will do something? Frankly, the least they could do is throw something at you. They are liable to take a knife and stab you in the name of jihad or some craziness.

The stewardess for example have knives. But the idea is there may be one crazy who wants to kill you. In that scenario they can come up with any number of ways to do it.

Off topic, but on a recent flight from PHL-ATH going thru my carryon right before boarding I found a 4" folding knife that I didn't know was there. At first I was going to hand it in, but then realized they might make everyone get rescreened. I was petrified the whole flight that some terrorist was going to find it in my bag and hijack the plane.

The last part was a bit facetious... It was a weird feeling knowing I had the power to close down the whole terminal for re-screening. This is the knife I found in my carry-on.
