United Club Card - UA Expedite Fee waiver

So I'm booking an award ticket for someone else using my miles on united.com. Since the flight is only a couple of days away there is a $75 expedite fee, but I have the Club card, so I was expecting it to be waived. But when I checked chase online (the next day) I saw that a $75 fee posted. The flight is United Express. Is this a mistake on their part or is there some fine print that I missed?

If you're primary then PUTPAC United (or better yet have them PUTPAC you).  Which you should've done before buying the ticket.

Thanks to both of you! I'm on the phone with someone now. She never heard of the Club card or the benefits but is looking now into it for me right now.

Dan, why should I have called them before booking? I didn't know I have to call to activate the card benefit every time I want to use it.

ETA: Off the phone now. Since the flight is flown I need to fill out a refund request. Here's hoping it gets fixed.
