copy of microsoft word 2012 for mac

Would anyone have an extra authorization copy of Microsoft word/office 2012 for the mac. I have 2008 and was planning on getting a new mac but was told that lion is not compatible with office 2008 and that all my word or excel documents would not be able to open when I transfer all my stuff to the new computer. I am now on OSX 10.5.6 leopard.

just FYI as of now there is no Office 2012 for mac
but there is Office 2011 for mac
