what do YOU do for a canker sore

I used to get them often- have not gotten one in some time now BH! BUT before yom tov I got 2 massive ones I can't seem to shake, any ideas and eitzah are appreciated.

Not that this helps you but my dad has in his medicine cabinet a green bottle with no label that you dab the liquid onto a canker sore and it burns but is gone within a couple of hours. No idea what that stuff is

The last time, I used Kanka which basically numbs the spot and coats it so that it heals quicker.

Get some sleep.seriously i find that lack of sleep is a big canker sore cause

Coming from a dentist: Try magic mouthwash. You will probably need a prescription though from your dentist.

Wash your mouth with baking soda and water (lots of baking soda).
The sodium bicarbonate is supposed to kill canker sores.

sleep will prevent it, my question is what to do once it happened- and yes since b4 yom kippur im getting 4-6 hrs sleep a night (not nearly enough)

I get them pretty often as well. Maybe its genetic

I have never found a good cure, and I have tried numerous prescription and OTC cures. Kanka, mouthwash, baking soda are all temporary relievers of the pain, but they don't help cure them at all.

I cant even remember my last canker sore but when I used this prescription gel stuff and left it on overnight it almost always went away or at least stopped hurting in a day or 2 max.
