Honest truth I am not sure what to believe. I know the Rebbe was a VERY VERY holy man and definitely had a close connection to God. Are all these stories 100% accurate? I honestly don't know. They are too many personal accounts for them to be totally made up.I certainly would never C"V never compare him to the others mentioned above. However one thing I don't understand (and despite the fact you (@Dan) said you were done with this thread I would appreciate if you would humor me with a response) is does saying you don't believe in these stories make you a bad person? Does it make you a Kofer? And why are these stories still so important? Why are we still telling these stories over at Chabad houses around the world as a method of Kiruv and not telling stories about the chesed of Hashem (not saying these stories aren't important, just why do they continue to play such a central role and superecede other things)? I understand that when the Rebbe was alive he was a point of connection between man and God and for the a lubavitcher, the most important one. However, now that he's gone-is that still true? What role does he continue to play?I ask all these questions respectfully and would truly appreciate a direct and honest answer.
Fuggetaboutit. Is it a chiddush to you that the Rebbe was and is the focal point of Chabad Chassidim? I can not contrast to other groups but I assume it is similar if not MAMASH the same...

Can you explain? I am not saying that they should not speak about Hashem and other Gedolim too, just I think that is the way it is there...
It is not similar at all. You wouldn't hear a shmooze at shalosh seudos which is just a story about a figure, especially one with no point other than to say how great the figure was.
At what Shalosh Seudos?
Not expressing an opinion, but I heard the brisker rov said about gedolim stories 'if you believe it can't happen, you're a Koifer. If you believe it did happen, you're a fool'.
I heard it from the Satmer Rebbe . Highly doubt the Brisker Rav would of said such a thing
Neither the Brisker Rav nor the Satmar Rebbe would of said anything. They both may have said it however.
Are you saying that in Chabad you usually hear stories only about the Rebbe?
