That can be an issue. Koh Samui isn't supposed to be as bad although I wasn't there. Japan in August is sweltering btw, although I think HKG is even worse.

Why don't you go to the GBR?

Currently booked as:

Su CX889, JFK-YVR-HKG, 10:40pm-6:55am +2
[in HKG for ~34 hours = All day Tu and most of We]
Wed CX703, HKG-BKK, 5:15pm-7:00pm
[at some point shortly thereafter, on some airline, go to CNX for 4.5 days -- don't currently plan on spending any time in BKK]
Mo CX702, BKK-HKG, 6:40pm-10:35pm
Tu CX888, HKG-YVR-JFK, 12:30am-7:00am

The question I have for you fine folk is should I cut out my ~34 hours in HKG (and a night in the Grand Executive Harbor Suite at the Grand Hyatt) in favor of more time in Thailand, specifically CNX or HKT?

In light of the impending Hilton deval, does anyone think I should, instead of CNX, go to USM and redeem an AXON award there?

I think that due to the impending devaluation you should save HGK Hyatt for next time and do AXON at the Koh Samui for your own private villa....

Is there enough to keep me busy there for 4-5 days?

An AXON award is for minimum 4 nights!

That's right...I forgot you're only there for 4.5 days. I think someone else would be better qualified to answer..

Not following this thread so closely, but theres a KA direct flight between CNX and HKG. No need to connect in BKK twice.

Need some advice from you travel experts.
I'll be in the US for Pesach and a few weeks afterwards. I'm looking for a vacation idea for a Sunday thru Thursday or Friday for the week after Pesach. It needs to be somewhere warm and somewhere with natural beauty.

This will be for my wife and I along with our baby.

Since I have the SW companion pass, and since this is my one chance to use it, I want to fly either SW or Airtran.

As of now, I have a flight to Vegas booked (only around 15k for the 2 of us from CLV!) and planned on spending a day in Vegas and 2/3 days in Zion and Bryce.

But now that Airtran is starting to be bookable on SW, I hope to have additional options.

Airtran opens up some of the following warm weather locations.
San Juan
Aruba
Cancun (been there already and enjoyed it)
Punta Cana
Montego Bay
Bermuda

Thoughts or recommendations? Obviously, I would prefer to not have to spend too much money on hotels, so a place with lower costs would be preferable.

We all have s/t in life to strive for, to dream about, to visualize in the furthest horizons of the mind.

As Samuel Butler once said:
"A man should have any number of little aims about which he should be conscious and for which he should have names, but he should have neither name for, nor consciousness concerning, the main aim of his life."

Fair enough.

What about flying into SFO, driving the PCH, and flying back out of LAX?

Or fly to LAX and take a 25K Avios flight to any HI island?

Hmm, I like the California option. What's the weather like in April, and what is there to do along the drive? National parks?

In terms of Hawaii, my goal is the following the next time I visit the US.
TLV - HNL : OGG (or diff island) - CLE (stopover) - TLV
