Would 2 business + 5 economy on the same non-stop route be realistic?

All of the non-stops  (EWR<>TLV on UA; JFK<>TLV on DL; and PHL<>TLV on US) are notoriously difficult as it is, but you can almost surely toss the idea of finding 6 biz tickets on the same plane on your particular dates without lotto-like luck.

If you don't require non-stop, I'd say that Star Alliance is your best bet considering their many partners, but as for which partner,  it'll depend on whether you'd spend more miles on UA (160K RT in J) or less miles plus YQ with NH (90K + YQ).

Any suggestions for a good 1-2 day stopover with kids on the way to TLV?

For me, half of the fun of a trip is the planning part.

Isn't standard business award 350K? Not worth it.

Thanks, much appreciated. Is availability from TLV to NYC also limited - do I have to connect through Europe on the way back as well?

I would like to plan a midwinter vacation for my family that means a couple and 2 kids, I would like to visit one of the Islands in the Caribbean or Bahamas or Virgin Islands.

1. Which one of the above is the most beautiful place to visit?
( in your humble opinion)

The Bahamas are very flat, while the Virgin Islands are very mountains (especially St. John). Do a quick Google image search on the Bahamas and then on Virgin Islands National Park and I think you'll agree that the VI are more beautiful.

Thanks for the info, now here comes the next question, is there any kosher in Virgin Islands? Minyan?

There's a VI master thread here IIRC (can't search now).

I haven't been many places in the carribean, but we had a fantastic time in cancun, and for midwinter break there are minyanim and great kosher food options (with delivery). Check out the cancun master thread. Don't tell everyone, part of the greatness is it feels like miami when it's not packed with ny rich jewish kids.
