Personally, I'd probably do Costa Rica or Caribbean.

Reading through the Caribbean thread is basically reading Dan bashing people and telling them to go to Hawaii instead. Lol.  :P

But if travel time is important, Caribbean is a good choice.

Nothing in particular but would prefer a trip with outdoor activities such as hiking and biking, Relaxing and just straight up Beautiful weather.

Also have a ton of avios :)

Sounds like LA would do well, plus you have the luxury of all the food there. If you don't want the LA scene, that is a different story.

Denver's not on the West Coast ::) although it does have the outdoorsy activities you mentioned.

I'd love to take a road trip out of tristate area for 5-6 days. Not too far but would love to end up somewhere exotic and supremely peaceful above all else. Any ideas? Points options a major plus but would be willing to shell out some cash. Doing flight trip end of June so this would be end of July.
Ended up doing good ole poconos through beautiful Vrbo rental. Hasn't stopped raining since though...

Thanks for furthering the NY stereotype. Colorado is landlocked. There's no coast in site.  ;)

Nice! Link to the VRBO you got?

My wife and I are trying to go away for 3 business days (5 days total including weekend) without the kids. Dates would be July 15-19 or July 16-20. What would good options be? Don't want to travel too far as I am limited to days and don't want to spend too much time getting there.

She was thinking Vegas. Any other good tips would be very much appreciated.

I disagree I was there for 2 weeks in august and it rained once. According to Wiki there is avg 6 days of rain for July/August which is a lot less then other vacation spots.

when 10 months a year you avg 15-20 days of rain you forget the 2 nice months.  ;) ;)

LA?
Fly into SF and take the PCH to LA?

I would imagine LA would fit your needs.

LA would give you food and entertainment

Sounds like LA would do well, plus you have the luxury of all the food there. If you don't want the LA scene, that is a different story.
I never did LA yet.
Is it something you do in the summer?
Shouldn't I rather put it away for the winter?
I (probably) have more than enough points for Hotels & flights, Approximately how much cash out of pocket would it be for a 10 day trip with 2 kids?
