Looking for vacation recommendations.

Here are some details:

Days: 3 nights end of August, not Shabbos
Family: Wife and 5 kids ages 9-3
Area: Starting in NYC.  Will drive up to 4-5 hours
Kosher Food- are ok buying from a local supermarket
Shul- would be nice but not necessary

Thank you

How about Lancaster/Hershey area?

Its not a bad drive at all. Like 4 hours. I would probably still drive it rather than deal with airport hassle

Definitely an option. We did Lancaster/Hershey once but would consider it again as a fall back plan.

Any ideas for a couple with a baby? Would drive up to 10 hours, just looking for a nice place with decent hotels.

Vacation. Don't need that many activities.

Vermont, New Hampshire, Cape Cod are options. You always drive to Chicago, St. Louis or other places. Kind of hard to pick when "vacation" is what you want to do.

So we ended up in Denver. Used points for airfare and hotels. Most expensive part was the car rental! July 4th weekend was really expensive.
Did Rocky Mountain National Park instead of Vail, Beaver Creek, etc. Went for the majestic over the fun activities this time... Hope to go back. It was gorgeous!!!

happy you enjoyed. winter time is very nice too. st regis & park hyatt are nice properties in the beaver creek area
