Do you fly or drive from NYC?
I drove the one time i went. Granted, it was before i really knew the miles and points thing.
Looking for vacation recommendations. Here are some details:Days: 3 nights end of August, not ShabbosFamily: Wife and 5 kids ages 9-3Area: Starting in NYC. Will drive up to 4-5 hoursKosher Food- are ok buying from a local supermarketShul- would be nice but not necessaryThank you
Nowadays, what do people do?
Its not a bad drive at all. Like 4 hours. I would probably still drive it rather than deal with airport hassle
Lake George?
How about Lancaster/Hershey area?
Any ideas for a couple with a baby? Would drive up to 10 hours, just looking for a nice place with decent hotels.
From where are you starting?
Funny you say that. We did that last summer
Oh sorry, NY area.
Niagara an option for you?
Not feeling it. Looking for a really nice place for a couple of days.
To do what?
Vacation. Don't need that many activities.
Vermont, New Hampshire, Cape Cod are options. You always drive to Chicago, St. Louis or other places. Kind of hard to pick when "vacation" is what you want to do.
Maybe something out west?
Depends how fast one can drive in the ten hours.
So we ended up in Denver. Used points for airfare and hotels. Most expensive part was the car rental! July 4th weekend was really expensive.Did Rocky Mountain National Park instead of Vail, Beaver Creek, etc. Went for the majestic over the fun activities this time... Hope to go back. It was gorgeous!!!
