How old are the kids?
10 to newborn
You'd go all the way to Hershey just for the factory? You realize it's a 30 second tour ?
if my memory serves me correctly (two decades ago) it was approx a half hour tour which i enjoyed immensely. possible that things have changed...
Don't wait for the perfect moment; take the moment and make it perfect.

You might wait on line for a half hour :P, but the tour/ride is only a minute or two long.

looking for something in my backyard i might be missing. looking to go away last week of august with the kiddos. no flying. 3-4 hour drive from nyc. was thinking poconos (white water rafting, horse back riding, rent a vrbo with private pool) or lancaster, pa (hershey's, herr's, amish town) any better suggestion or improvement upon mine? we dont use public pools so any resort is not of interest
That. I was there more than once and really enjoyed

K I'm in Israel and I'm looking to get away in the summer for about 2 weeks or more. I'm looking for something cheap.
I have already done Israel and I dont want to go to UK.
Where would be a nice relaxing place to go? I don't want a beach town but I wouldn't mind a place where there is a quiet beach.
Also in going with a 8 month old baby.
I have some amex MR and chase UR. I also have 2 Ritz Carlton nights. 60k ihg and 2 Hyatt.
Another option would be to go all out and use everything and go to numerous different places around Europe.
Can I get some suggestions and advice? Especially regarding the kid part.
BTW I don't mind driving if it would work out cheaper than by train. (going round Europe)
Looking for Europe recommendations or further out?
And there is always more to do in Israel.

I would prefer Europe. Nowhere radical.
I really don't want to do summer in Israel again.
We would consider a trip through Europe if we could work it out for a decent price.

Would love to hear about something closer....

Phillidelphia is around 3 hours. Lancaster is also not too far.

Without traveling too much since your with a young child I would prob stick with the Southwest, Gibraltar/Spain/Portugal.

Im fine with traveling. My kid is great in the car. But that sounds nice... Would you recommend hotels or airbnb?

Cheapest flight out of Israel on or around my dates are above $400. I'm going to have to start working on flying with points and stuff.
I imagine I'll also like trains but whilst in the city I would like to be as mobile as possible. If the public transport is good I guess I can rely on that.

Avios are decently cheap to there. Public transport is good and cheap and if your not an experienced driver then it will be faster also.

Neighbor is looking for an idea for a 2 day trip, preferably not more than a few hours drive out of Lakewood. Prefer nature based activities. Any ideas?
