Thinking about doing one of these. If I had to choose one of these places to base myself out of for 5 days which should I go with?

No idea, would be going with just my wife and looking for a mixture of seeing, doing, chilling.

Would totally depend on where you've already been and what you like to do, but I'd probably do Scottsdale.

Scottsdale should have a good mix of things to do and the property looks from the nicer ones of the bunch.

Wife is in a no ZIKA stage.
Need something with warm weather for mid-Feb.

never saw this before! I have rt tickets to sfo, does it pay to cancel the return and book from somewhere south?

need idea for additional location for 7-9 day vaca with one flight going to or leaving PTY. in January. warm weather necessary, kosher food a plus
maximum flight time 7-8 hours (from ny)

+1 totally Scottsdale.  Tons of stuff to do or just chill and the best kosher restaurants of all those options, by far.

Why do you feel you need an additional location? There's definitely a week's worth of stuff to do there. My friend's family are there for 10 days right now and they are doing something different every day.  I'm going for mid-winter for a week and seeing all their awesome pictures am worried it's not enough time to do what I want and still have some days to just relax at the pool!

Basically it seems like most of the stuff you can do in Costa Rica, Cancun and Brazil rolled into one compact location, with great hotels and kosher restaurants to come home to each night!
