Next Vacation - Ideas

Any ideas for a place for a place to use a marriott 7 night cat 1-5 hotel voucher in August? I have a wife a 2 year old and an 8 month old. We like outdoor beauty places like national parks, not disney stuff. Basically a hotel that has a good concentration of outdoor beauty within reasonable distance (we would be stuck in the same place all week). BH kids are good travelers. I have been all over most of the US (47/50 States excluding OK AR, AK). PR is out due to zika....? Any ideas would be appreciated.

i dont have the necessary points:( But even then any ideas of a hotel in good driving distance to a lot of natural beauty? I thought maybe the  Yosemite/ Sequoia area, but it still over 2 hours each way it seems from closest Marriott property to the parks....

That would be a great idea except that i did that a couple years back. I thought of doing Banff but it seems the Marriott hotels are just too far from the rockies. This is why travelling so much stinks; you cant ever find a new place!

If you are willing to drive an hour, you can do Bangor/Arcadia

Otherwise, what about Seattle? It's beautiful and there's a ton of stuff to do out there.

Go to Anchorage and make it 48/50.  Kenai Fjords NP is about 2.5 hours away, (Denali and Wrangell are over 4), but there are nearby state parks as well.  The weather in Anchorage is lovely, seems to be some Marriotts, not sure if they fit your criteria.

I keep thinking this as well. But prices are just so insane. It could easily be 2500 dollars for a week. Its hard to justify.... Also hard to know if its a bit much to drive even that much. Banff which was 90 min i was told is crazy. So ANC which is further should be even more crazy. Its tempting though. Its so beautiful and yes there is the "bucket list" aspect to it....

I am looking for an idea where to go this summer.  We must have a minyan and not more then 12 hours from NY by plane.

Denver, Seattle, Portland, Southern California, Vancouver, Panama...tons of places.

Have you been to Colorado? If you want outdoorsy this is the place. Vail or Aspen is out of reach for a Cat 5 but check out this hotel.  It's an easy drive to both.  Great hikes, activities, nice hotel with extra space and nice amenities and a beautiful historic mountain town.

I was there over Yeshiva week and it was gorgeous.  Head over to the Panama Master Thread and lots of people can help you with questions like that.  There are 20+ restaurants, tons of options for all the minyanim.  It's a direct flight from NYC (maybe 6 hrs) and 35k RT w/United or Singapore.

Looking for a place to go for 1 day 1 night, for my anniversary. Was looking for somewhere not too far, possibly the Bahamas. OWB's would be a plus. Being that it's one day, not looking to spend a fortune getting there.
