Hi,

Looking to go for a week from Brooklyn couple with 2 kids age 7 and 2, driving up to 5 hours is OK, any suggestions
Virginia.  Richmond area.
Williamsburg Historic recreation- 1 full day or even into the next day. (Used to be a 3 day admission ticket)
Busch Gardens
Yorktown Historic site- early settlers. The Indian camp, the Fort, the boats they cam on.  All are reproductions so everything can be touched and tried.  Good guides.
My favorite cause: cssy.org

Looking for similar, except shorter drive (3-4 hours), and looking for a place where it would be reasonable to VRBO/Airbnb a place with a private pool.

Scenic.  cooler than Brooklyn. I don't know what there is to do there.  Buut it's a shot drive from there to New Hampshire, with more things to do.

This is probably a common request.

Looking for a place to go in the USA (preferably 3-4 hour flight from NY) that doesn't have Zika warnings. Would want it to be a place with a beach.

Isn't Miami Zika free?

That's not in the USA.
I don't have a problem going out of the USA, but the Bermuda master thread doesn't look exciting at all.

Yes and no, they removed the travel advisory, but they don't know exactly what's going on there. Wife is pregnant, so I'm not willing to take the risk

Gonna double down on Bermuda-less than a 2 hour flight from NY and it's beautiful

Why would they remove it from the advisory if there was still Zika there?

CDC : Although the level of risk of Zika virus transmission after a yellow area is removed is not known, it is likely to be low. However, sporadic cases may still occur.

So if your wife is pregnant it's not worth the risk, I would say

No reported cases at all in Orlando. I was in Disney in January and there were free mosquitoe repellent everywhere. Would be Disney's biggest nightmare to have a zika outbreak in Orlando

That doesn't mean it won't happen. It's been SA and Caribbean's worst nightmare already.

Oy, you don't get it. Over there it was just South American people getting infected. Big deal. If an institution like Disney gets affected? That's a real problem
