Looking to go somewhere with DW in Feb for 3-4 days,
  • Relaxing and some light activities,
  • Should be warm,
  • Preferable an upscale resort,
  • Not overcrowded like miami beach etc,
  • Safe location ( DW should feel safe )

Have hyatt and chase points.

Did GHK in the past, was truly amazing, anything similar just not so far?

Jacksonville, FL
Hyatt Regency is a beautiful property on the water (not the beach)
Plenty of light activity options like the Jacksonville Zoo, and parks
Kosher food exists, but options are limited
Temps are around 70 for the high

Houston/Galveston, TX
Plenty of light activity options like the Space Center and Moody Gardens
Kosher food options in Houston
Highs are mid 60's
If you don't mind wasting 2-3 hours for a timeshare preview, you can get a 4 day 3 night stay at one of the IHG resorts there for $250 over the phone. If you are an IHG member and decline their firsts few offers, they'll often bring it down to free or even offer you free cash or points to entice you.

Southern AZ
Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort (on the water)
Kosher food
2 hrs to Sedona, 3:40 to grand canyon - The drive itself is beautiful
Plenty of activities in Phoenix and Tucson
The terrain is like nothing you've ever seen before if you've never been to the southwest.

A little more info please.
What type of things do you like to do?
Food?  History? Art? Sporty activities?

I loved Italy.  for 3 days, I would do only 1 city.  Florence -art.  Rome - history, food!  Venice - unique and beautiful.
Switzerland - views and relax.
Morocco - 1 city - IDK which - Casablanca?
Edinburgh - quaint - lovely to walk around - The Queens Palace (Hollyrood House) - castles nearby -
Amsterdam - art - quaint - ?history
Prague - history - etc? I think it's a 2-3 day city.
My favorite cause: cssy.org

Hey

I am planning to go to london for a weekend+ in the summer, to visit family

however i would love to go somewhere first (from ny) and then fly to london from there (dont want this flight to be more than 3 and a half hours) and from london to ny. as ive been to london numerous times and i would love to explore.

i am a couple plus a (then to be) 1 year old

we enjoy activities, and even though we know that not most things cannot be done since i have a kid, we are not really looking for a place to just walk around but rather go do stuff and see specific things.

does anyone have any ideas for us?

thanks in advance

Start with the classics like Paris & Rome

Just back from a week in Budapest - we had an amazing time. Beautiful city, lots to see and do, weather was quite decent, very reasonably priced flights and accommodations, several kosher restaurants to choose from (3 meat, 4 dairy and all budget friendly) and all quite good and very reasonably priced (cheaper tabs than back home in Brooklyn for comparable meals and not just because the US Dollar is fairly strong right now), several places to prepay for Shabbos meals (again, excellent food and affordable), an Orthodox shul, and the Jewish area is a few minutes walk from all of the major attractions and transportation options. Couldn't recommend Budapest more as a great destination even in January for a 3-7 day visit.

That all said, we're already thinking about a European (or South American) destination for next January and we're looking for recommendations that check all the boxes I mentioned above (great destination to explore, decent weather even in January, reasonable prices for flights, airbnb, and several kosher food choices at affordable prices not too far from the touristy areas).
Any ideas?

Fair. None of the places we've been really check all the boxes I mentioned. London (Jewish area far from the main sites), Amsterdam and Romania (few kosher options), Paris (expensive city overall), never been to South America, etc, so open to where ever.

Which Carribean/Central American destination typically has the cheapest economy award flights from NYC? Looking at Panama, Puerto Rico, Punta Cana, and really anything like those.

Hey everyone!
I need help booking a vacation 3-4 days vacation. Normally I enjoy Florida, but would love a new place for a change.

Any suggestion for a place in Mexico/South America that would be AFFORDABLE with kosher food & local entertainment?
Would love maybe some place like Playa Del Carman without the high price tag.
TIA!

There is plenty you can do with a kid unless you want to go bungee jumping or skydiving. You can do any cable car in Switzerland, hikes anywhere as long as you have a baby carrier or it’s stroller friendly, any city tours, etc… Coming from plenty of experience.

Just came back from Jacksonville, worked out great!
Pros: 10pm flight Motzei Shabbos from EWR; 8:15 Shacharis; activities within 30-55 minutes drive;no crowds; and no tznius issues. And the people are really nice!!
Was a win for us!
Thanks for the tip!
