Im starting to think about a summer trip and want to go away with my kids kids for a week in June, they will be 2 and 5. I would want a place with fun local outings as well as a nice hotel property with pools. I'm willing to fly and shlep along food. We already did California, kids loved it.
Any good ideas?

Which Carribean/Central American destination typically has the cheapest economy award flights from NYC? Looking at Panama, Puerto Rico, Punta Cana, and really anything like those.
sju usually has most flight options. if you are flexible with times, you can usually find flights around midnight very inexpensive
gonna always depend on dates etc

Looking for a Sun-Fri getaway in August without kids. Leaving from CLE and food is a plus. Not more than 3 hour time difference.

There are Kosher home rental websites. I think @meshugener can help you out. Otherwise lots of airbnb options with some really cool properties

Hey all.

Looking for some Honeymoon ideas.

I'll be getting married in a few months and then moving to Israel in the end of July (around Rosh Chodesh Av).
2 weeks to settle in and then off on a 1.5 / 2 week trip.
We would like to depart from TLV July 30 - Aug 1 or perhaps Aug 6 /7.

Some criteria:
1. We are NOT looking to just sit on a beach for a week. We want to do something fun and exciting. A little bit of "chilling" is fine but we are not just going to the Maldives, sit on the beach and get fat. We need a bit of action.
2. At the same time... It is a honeymoon so we prefer not to be somewhere too far-out and dirty eating tuna out of a can.
Doesn't need to be a major Jewish city with a kosher restaurant and grocery store, but that would definitely be a plus.
3. Needs to be east of the Atlantic. We're not flying to Israel just to head back to North or South America.
Europe is probably the best, but we are open to Africa, Mid East, and Asia as well (if it is in line with criteria #2)
4. I already did Italy and Switzerland this past summer so I prefer not to do those again (otherwise they would be perfect).
5. UAE is too hot in Aug, so please don't suggest it!

As far as points go, Here's what I have... (and if you can make an itinerary suggestion with which points to use it would be greatly appreciated!)
Chase -  350k
Cap One - 65k
Aeroplan - 105k
Delta - 100k
IHG - 125k
And a random mix of travel credits.

Really would appreciate any ideas anyone has!
Thanks!!

Did you ask  your Kallah? Maybe she would want to go to Italy or Switzerland even though you did it yourself.

I'm sure she would.
But I figured in a world this vast, and with 33203 DDF members to help, I could find somewhere else to go that is not Italy or Switzerland.

She's on board with wherever I would like to take her as long as it meets our criteria from above...

South Africa or Thailand.
Isn't Thailand too wet in Aug?

https://www.selectiveasia.com/thailand-holidays/weather/august#:~:text=Chiang%20Mai%20and,arrive%20in%20September.

And I feel like South Africa may be a bit too dirty for a honeymoon... Hard to know though. I was never there... Thoughts?

I was never in Thailand but I know tons of couples that want there for their honeymoons August time.
I was in South Africa this summer and like any country it can be done dirty or very nicely for pretty cheap so up 2 u. Johannesburg might be a dirty city but Cape Town is stunning and the safari park is the safari park.

Another option is to do a few days in Europe then like a week in Morocco. There’s kosher food and tons to see and do.

I had my honeymoon in South Africa
And it wasn't a little to 'dirty" for a honeymoon?

Can I just skip Johannesburg and that will avoid the whole issue?
Or is cape town and other areas also a bit dirty / dangerous?
