I have a Sun to Thurs - would like to be somewhere near mountains and a lake...
Thinking Lake Tahoe, Vail, Aspen...

Open to ideas.
And of course there would need to be a hotel nearby redeemable with points but the hotel isn't priority. I care more about the area.
Any thoughts?
I've never been to any of the places listed above so open to hearing your opinions.

Also this is in two weeks so availability is limited for flights.. I've nixed out Vancouver, Glacier NP etc.

I think Hyatt has a nice property in Colorado.

Yeah, they do. My question is more on the area. I'm not so big on the hotel at this point. I want somewhere beautiful with easy hikes.

Just saw some blogger write about the Hyatt Lost Pines. Seems like that hotel has a huger property with things to do.

Link to property here.

I stayed in the Westin in Avon beautiful hotel with nice grounds and a nice lake nearby, got upgraded for $20 to a huge one bedroom suite with a full kitchen.
Although their service when I was there was pretty bad

Trying to plan a quick getaway for Thanksgiving 2015 (Wednesday night to Sunday or Monday morning). I would like to go to DUB, LHR, MXP, VCE, or FCO. Thoughts on whats doable for quick weekend with late fall/early winter weather situation?

weather in those places that time of year is chilly and usually pretty rainy, so i would suggest to just stick with the weekend favorite here, VCE

Looking for ideas for a short (3-4 day) vacation for me and DW.
Will probably travel in January and want warm weather. Perhaps someplace in Mexico or South America.
I've got plenty of AA miles and would prefer to use them but also have lots of UR.
Any ideas are appriciated.

Especially if you don't eat the food they serve anyway. You can take a look at their itinerary and then put something similar together. I've done that in the past

Anyone have a good experience with a VRBO (or the like) in the greater NYC area or places easily reachable from NYC (i.e. upstate NY or NE)? Care to share a link?
Thanks!
