Aruba is boring and not very pretty. It has Chabad, but there are many nicer islands out there.
CUN is crass commercialism and corrupt, though it's close and has lots of kosher food.

I want someplace that always has good weather and very tropical  (soft sand and blue water). Not too far away and preferably direct flights from nyc.

Been to Aruba 2x. Enjoyed many years ago but now has become very commercialized and not much to do except lots of water sports and casinos. Enjoyed because our purpose was just R&R. Stayed at Ritz
Cancun (you asked previously)- also very commercialized. We found a lot to do. And beware- at gas station the attendant switched my cash and said we owed him more money.
GCM- Had a great time - friendly,  beautiful and lots of activities.

From a Sunday through Thursday. I would consider staying on for shabbos if there's a chabbad nearby.

Also did Sunday to Thursday in GCM. There is a chabad just not sure where. Also you can find kosher food in stores and bring your own. Check GCM thread.
