I don't know whether to be more saddened by the state DDF has fallen to that I can't get any help with this or more upset that nobody wants to help me specifically
If I had any ideas I would've thrown em out there, FWIW

That could be but my requirements were a lot fewer than most and I was hoping for something a little more interesting than Cali, Cancun, or Panama.

I don't understand your question. I thought you had less requirements. If you require minyan or food, your request is the same as everyone else

My requirements were just that it be somewhat convenient for Shabbos, meaning not a huge resort where even taking a walk would involve electronic doors and such. I was merely asking for a suggestion of where to stay if you've been.

Don't think resorts like that exist in Belize

Looking for somewhere warm to go in mid Jan for the weekend, leaving Thu morning, coming back Mon evening. Convenient flights from WAS would be a plus as would kosher food but it isn't necessary. Has to be somewhat convenient for Shabbos so I don't think a big resort will the best idea although it doesn't necessarily have to have a Chabad nearby. I have Ritz and Hyatt SUNs to use and I'm pretty much open to anything, ideas anyone?
San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua
Has Chabad (mashichist) with Kosher Restaurant. Decent mid range hotel options but no fancy chains. Interesting day activities like Ometepe, Horseback riding, ATV, etc. Nearest Airports are LIR and MGA. Less than $300 for a 1stop roundtrip in mid Jan. Avg day temp in Jan is high 80f

San Pedro La Laguna, Guatemala
Has Chabad (mashichist) with Kosher Restaurant. Not too many mid range hotel options but no fancy chains. Very real, rustic, tribal, 3rd world. Good people. No pritzus. Interesting day activities like Volcanoes, trekking, Horseback riding, ATV, etc. Nice mild weather, not too hot (low 80s by day and mid 50s at night) The only downside is the 5hr drive from MGA (about $400 rt from WAS with 1 stop)

Interesting options, I'll look into those, thanks!

Andaz Costa Rica with annniv nights bought on DDF is the best bargain around.
Is that an option? As in, can I buy anniversary nights from multiple people and add them to a booking?

Any ideas for a group looking for a few day getaway in February?

- Within ~2 hour flight of NYC
- Reasonably priced beautiful vacation rentals that can sleep 8 adults.
- Warm, scenic area
- Does not need to be near kosher food.

Thanks!

Not sure warm and 2-hours fit together. Maybe consider Myrtle Beach or Bermuda, both close enough and kinda warm.

Should have put warmish. As in better than NY, even if not San Diego.

Those are great ideas. Thanks

Where would you go in Europe for a weekend in January? Leaving Wed night most likely and coming back sometime on Monday, depending on how flights work out.

Venice is definitely a nice option but if you're looking for January might be some nice Jewish places open in the Alps
