I'd do Italy, but that's just because as a country there's more to see.

Fly into Milan, don't stay longer than you have to. Drive down to Rome. Stopping in Pisa, if it calls you, and also see some beautiful 'wine country' on the way to Rome. Or train ride down without stops. 3 days in Rome and a train ride to Venice with a possible stop in Florence which can handle 2 days or 1, if you're short.  Then Venice for Shabbos.  Also look into Jewish history areas near Venice, like Padua.

Depending on your energy level and interests, there's plenty to do.

Looking to get away for a week with the wife at end of July with no kids.
Thinking somewhere in Europe.
Primary requirement is availability of kosher food.
Wed love. To do France, but I feel like it's not really jew friendly now...
Currently leaning to Italy. Some. Combination of Venice, Rome, Milan (wife's grandmother from there so she'd like to see it even for just a day), maybe Florence. I know we can't do all of them in a week.
Any other recommendations for places in Europe meeting the kosher criteria?

If you fly into Rome and out of Milan, you can do the highlights in a week. I loved Italy, but I've never been to France.

Looks like the consensus is Italy is the better option.
What is kosher food like there? I know meat places have the glatt issue, what about dairy? Plenty of those?

We only went to dairy places in Rome. At least a few options.

Neither is better, that's silly.
Can you push the trip to a week and a half?

I think staying in Italy and seeing some things out of the 2 main cities will enhance the trip. noturbizniss expressed a particular interest in stopping in Milan.  I enjoyed my drive in Tuscany, for example.
Save Paris and more of France for next time.

His wife's grandmother's hometown.  I agree thay shouldn't stay there more than a minute, but even that will take time.

We need a relax/chill vacation in late august (no carribean storms), preferably with SPG/marriott top-level options to try to maximize a decent spg point chest. me, the mrs and 3 kids (ages 11 to 3.5). STRONG preference for a place with real kosher food options. any ideas? Have done all of california last few years, along with phoenix and seattle/vancouver. willing to go intl (have a good amount of points for flights as well), but hard to think of a good chill trip to europe vs heavy touring. Help!

Rome - several reliable dairy places, apparently 1 reliable meat glatt place, a few meat places that offer glatt options (not sure how comfortable you are with that idea)
Venice - 1 reliable meat place, 1 reliable dairy place, 1 dairy place that I still haven't seen word on how reliable it is, but people here have gone to it
Milan - unsure, but I believe there are options.

Europe can be relaxing like Spanish or Greek islands, but you wont have tons of Kosher. Likely Chabads that maybe will deliver.
