There are literally hundreds of hotels that fit your criteria. Maybe you want something more specific? You could just start driving and stop at the first hotel in any of those areas

Everything finally fell into place to go just DW and I for 2 days with the night without any kids. All we need is a nice pretty area to spend some quiet time. We can fly somewhere but don't want to spend half the time flying from Lakewood. It would be nice if it was a little cooler than here. Any ideas?

Wouldn't that be a five hour flight each way (beside to and from airports) taking up almost half of the available time? In case I wasn't clear we are dealing with 2 days one night in the middle. The second night is not available.

DC is hot and humid now, so that doesn't fit his criteria but if you're willing to deal with that it can be a really nice place to visit for two days. Although it isn't really serene at all.
