other than MCO/MIA and LAX/SD are there any other fun and relaxing places recommended to go for a week or 2 for family with kids ages 4, 3 and 6 months old during spring summer time (or honestly any other time)? MB is too much to stay for a week+ so im ruling that out. and i feel like Arizona is not a great fit with kids that age. i thought about Hawaii but too far to fly with lil kids - any other options/recommendations?

Planning a 2-3 day stopover on my way from TLV - NYC after Purim. With 2 kids ages 1 1/2 & 2 1/2. What city would be best with kids? I was told that it’s too late in the season for the alps. Looking at Venice, Milan, Zurich & Vienna. Obviously leaning most towards Venice but hesitating as I’ll be with 2 young kids. The cities I’ve listed are ones that I found with flights that work. London will probably be a bit more & I’m thinking of doing Barcelona in the summer. Not really considering Paris with all the unrest there recently. If I do Venice I’ll have to drive or take a train to Milan to fly to NYC. Would love to hear opinions suggestions…. TIA

How about one of the Greek, Spanish or Italian Islands,  or maybe MLA if you're looking for that sort of vacation.

I’ve been to Crete already & I wouldn’t do an island not during the summer, there’s really nothing to do if you’re not just relaxing enjoying the weather & beach.

I would skip Venice as I think it's pretty hard if you need a carriage. Zürich or Vienna would be your best bet I think, ps Zurich has a great transportation muesum in Lucerne that's very kid friendly.

Correct, but in my experience Vienna was a more interesting city than Zurich and way cheaper.

As a city I agree although Zurich has nicer day trips nearby, no comment on the prices.

Leaning toward Zurich. One day by that museum, another day take a train to titlis or Lucerne & other half a day just walk around a bit.

Vienna sounds like a beautiful city but didn’t get a chance to research what there is to do. Would love to hear more opinions.

There's something called the Golden pass by Lucerne that you take 3 cable cars up one side of the mountain (I think there's a playground on one of the levels) but I'm not sure the tempature up there. You can then take a Train or boat on the river on the way back.

Rhine falls is also a cute 1/2 day trip from Zurich.

Are these places good places to visit end of March or it’s the wrong season? I’m also getting a little skeptical of the food situation in Zurich…

I’ve narrowed it down to London or Zurich as those are the only 2 cities which have flights that work. Hesitant about Zurich for reasons above, now I gotta do some research on London.

If you go out to Lucerne, I'd suggest taking the cable car up Mt Pilatus. It's a short city bus ride from Lucerne and although it's expensive (around $100 pp for the cable cars to get up the mountain IIRC) the views are worth every penny. You can easily see Lucerne and Pilatus in one day. Here are some pictures from when I did it. First 2 are Pilatus, last is Lucerne.
