I was in both Chania and Haraklion and stayed at the Domes in both. I really liked it. I loved Santorini too, Mykonos is OK but I liked Santorini and Crete more. I was in smaller islands like Paros and Naxos , I would like to go to Rhodes, have not been yet.

Trying to arrange a 2 day vacation for 2 people. Are there any good sites that I can put in the origin and dates and they'll give me choices for an all inclusive package (flight+hotel+car)?
All the main travel sites seem to require a destination.

Or if you have any ideas for someplace in USA.

Flights.google.com

It shows hotel and rental cars as well, not only flights?

Looking for a 8 to 10-day vacation idea from the east coast to europe in early Sept. We are used to travelling pretty quickly and covering a lot of ground, are active, and enjoy the walkability of the cities we travel to. Last year we had our honeymoon in Greece (Naxos, Santorini) and Italy (Rome, Amalfi, Venice). This year we are hoping to go to someplace we'd never been before such as Austria and Croatia. Would either have a good mix of relaxing beach-type places and city/culture/food, especially in fall/Sept?

I’d like to work some European stopovers into our Israel trip next summer and am wondering what cities you all think might be the most fun/interesting for kids (2nd-9th grade). I’ve never taken them to Europe before because they don’t want to see pretty buildings or art. I was thinking maybe London and then Rome or Greece. They would normally be bored to tears in a museum but I thought they’d like the Tower of London, Changing of the guard, maybe Stonehenge and some of Egyptian and other cool stuff in the British Museum.

Any suggestions kids would like in London and Rome or better cities that might be more fun for them? TIA

Think the kids will be bored in Venice.  Malta is interesting.  I thought Rome or Athens has enough "action" history that it might keep them engaged.  Plus we like having kosher restaurants, although Venice definitely has that.

What type of action history are you referring to? ATH has just one resturant AFAIK. And many don't eat in the meat restaurants on Rome.

Was just in Athens on 3 day stopover. I can confirm that there's just the one restaurant, Gostijo, which is part of the Chabad.
Definitely a lot of "just buildings" although they're pretty cool.
I haven't heard of anyone else do it, but we went to the old abandoned airport just outside the city. I thought it was pretty cool.
We also took a private boat ride which was really nice. There are also island hopping tours.
Jury Duty: Nothing to do there but chill and write a TR. Kinda like the beach but missing the view and ocean breeze.

I mean history of battles or things that they might be able to have a reference of time frames for from learning Jewish History, Mishna, Gemara.  I could be wrong but I think my tween and teen boys will like seeing the Coliseum better than buildings in Venice, although they'd like the glass blowing and boats so that is a good suggestion and maybe a day or two there might be good.  Truth is they are not dying to see any of it but I'm trying to find a compromise everyone in our family would enjoy. I thought Pompeii was super cool when I was younger so maybe it would be good to fly from London (I'm adding London in because London and Frankfurt are the only direct European flights from Denver and it's a great redemption on BA, yes even with YQ...lol) to Venice, just do one or two nights there, train to Rome, couple nights then train to Pompeii.  Looks like very cheap EasyJet flights from Naples to TLV.

Thanks, cool suggestions and adding in a day of island hopping would definitely make them happy and break up all the "touring".

No problem.

I'm working on a trip report but feel free to ask for any specific questions if you need.
