Worth to drive 10 hrs just for this? Anything there besides hikes?

Acadia is probably the nicest national park in the eastern part of the country.

The shul in Bangor is tiny so be aware that minyanim might be inconsistent (they had shacharis the day that I passed through).

There's also an airport in Bangor.

Acadia is really awesome, my family spent a week there. No minyan in Bangor regularly. There's a nice swimming spot. Also, you can wake up for sunrise on Cadillac Mountain. Make sure to see the island that you can walk to during low tide, don't get stuck!
It's mostly hiking, but certainly worth it
Jury Duty: Nothing to do there but chill and write a TR. Kinda like the beach but missing the view and ocean breeze.

I'm not familiar, but make sure to stay on the island, as youll be driving at least a half hour to start your day in the park anyway

No. Closest one is Marriot in Bangor. Even though that's where the Chabad is, it's far from Acadia

In addition to the driving around the park.
We stayed on the island and had to drive at least a half hour to each destination.
Also, that'll be after 8 hours of driving to get to Maine.
We actually stayed in Bangor on the last night, on the way back.

You're welcome to stay there if it works for you. We shot down the idea when my dad suggested it.

Looking to do a week and a half vacation this summer with two toddlers and a pregnant wife. We've done (southern) California and Arizona multiple times and not looking to repeat if I can help it. Any other ideas, including Europe, for a chilled warm weathered kid friendly vacation?
Thanks!
