Looking for a WARM place to go in Mid-November. Direct Southwest flights from Chicago (companion pass), preferably between 2-5 hour flight. Prefer Kosher food availability. With a resort property nearby. I have a couple Marriott regular anniversary nights, and some UR points. Am also willing to pay up to $200 a night, instead of using points. Minyan is a plus. Interested in nature and a relaxed, quiet environment. Looking into location and which property to stay at. Thanks ahead of time for any tips. Was looking into Dallas, Puerto Rico, and northern CA. Not sure which of these to choose, or looking for other options.

Aren't those places all pretty packed? I'm looking for a place that is a little quieter? Also, is there kosher food in those Mexican resorts?

Cancun has food adjacent to some resorts and Chabad delivery.

How are Cancun resorts in regards to being packed in mid-November? Is there any specific resorts to be recommended. As mentioned earlier, I have Marriott free nights and UR points.

Aside from sitting in the gallery, barely anything in DC is dependendent on congress being in session. You can still tour the capitol, Supreme Court, monuments, and do Smithsonian.

Agree.

But a large point of going is to see the Government in action. ( BTW there are no oral arguments in the Supreme Court in July / Aug )

Have Hyatt Globalist and marriott Titanium:

Want to go somewhere where it will be easy with my status to get a suite to comfortably fit 5 (1 King and a sofa bed and crib is enough)

Will bring food

I would say if maybe you would change your mind and go to Hawaii, go to the GHK.

There is an Andaz opening up in Turks and Caicos; I love T & C, def most pristine beaches I have ever been to in Caribbean

Hi.
Debating between Singapore and Tokyo for next week. For this time of the year, which one will be a better option? (Yes yes I know they are 2 very different cities, thank you very much.)

Also, has anyone been to China on the 144 hour transit visa and went to Beijing and Shanghai? Because officially you’re only allowed to be in one of those regions.  Wanna hear from someone who has done it, and if there’s anything to be concerned about.

Looking for some ideas....

Land in HKG in early Friday AM.  Looking for a Southeast Asia destination with a great Shabbos and relaxing experience. Could stay in HKG but thought it be nice to try something a bit off the beaten path.  Have been to Vietnam- looking for other ideas.  What are people’s views on Singapore? Bangkok? Other options?

Need to be back in HKG Monday PM or Tuesday AM...
