Niagara Falls..

You can stop for a day at the mall in Syracuse they have a whole floor of entertainment facilities.
+1. Also Rochester has one of the best kids museums anywhere - Museum of Play.

If you stay at the Westin there are resort activities for kids. They also offer a kids club that you can leave them at. Outside of that, it depends on the ages. Snorkeling, hiking, beach swimming, charter a boat…

Any kosher food?
No restaurants but the stores have a lot of kosher products and Chabad in St. Thomas has a menu you can order from.

Driving from Michigan to Monticello, plan is to leave Wednesday night and arrive on Friday

Drive Wed evening to CLE - stay where?
Thu - activity in CLE
Leave Thu evening towards Monticello - sleep over somewhere on the way - do a hike early Friday morning and finish the drive back to Monticello

1. Does the above plan make sense
2. Where to stay in CLE - ideally near minyan/kosher food
3. What to do in CLE on Thursday?
4. What is a good place to stay Thursday night and hike Friday morning?

Adds about a half hour to the trip, but you can hike Watkins Glen gorge. Not great hotel availability in the immediate area but there's a nice Best Western in Hammondsport
Jury Duty: Nothing to do there but chill and write a TR. Kinda like the beach but missing the view and ocean breeze.

Looking for a place to go for 5 days in August with DW, 2 infants, a 5 & 2 yr old. We’re flying from Jacksonville, so we’d prefer a change of the FL scenery/weather. Reasonable direct flights go to Boston, Chicago, DC, Denver, Nashville, Philadelphia, Dallas, New Orleans, Atlanta, St. Louis and of course EWR/JFK. What’s the most kid and budget-friendly vacation within a 2-3 hour drive from any of these destinations. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Looking for ideas for a two day trip between NYC and Montreal. Family of 9, kids ages 4-18.

So far I have one idea: 1 day at Mystic Seaport, and one day at clarks trading post, new hampshire. We will bring our own food.

Any one have any other ideas?

That's adding a lot of extra driving - I would think there are plenty of things to do along the more direct route (which would be literally the entire I-87). But if you do decide on that route, a few things to add. I would highly recommend the Submarine Force Museum (maybe even instead of Mystic- which it's right near - depending on which seems like a better fit for your group), which we did on the way to Newport one year. And on the way to NH (we did Clarks during that trip as well), our stop to break up the drive was The Butterfly Place.

Along the more direct route, Minnewaska is great if you wanna do nature/hiking. Albany has lots to offer. Maybe Fort Ticonderoga.

Any ideas for what to do on the way from NYC to Rochester, NY?

Preferably three or more hours into the way...

Family with infant, three year old and 8 year old.
