Ok- trying to plan this trip- for a couple in their 30's - leaving the kids at home.

So far I think I've decided on a flight arriving in Vienna at 2pm Sunday.
Sunday- head around Vienna a bit
Monday- day trip somewhere scenic (need ideas for that)
Tuesday- Hang around Vienna
Wed AM- fly hour flight to Venice- land at around 10/11 am
Thurs evening back to TLV

Too much? Should I skip out Vienna for somewhere else?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Prague is maybe a better idea- especially considering that there are direct flights from there to TLV(as opposed to Venice )

My bad. I  meant should I skip the Vienna.  They don't mind the stopover on the way back to TLV. And I just though Venice is somewhere you can enjoy even if you're only there a short time and somewhere they wouldn't go back to so quickly with a bunch of little kids. Plus they've never really been anywhere and probably won't get on another trip any time soon.

They can make a day trip to the alpes from Vienna (skiing maybe), I think that it's about an hour drive.

Not into skiing. But they would like to see some beautiful parts of the alps.

I did it from Florence. From Venice you should drive along the Alps, but not sure if you see them.

For the record I drove in about 15 different countries and found Italy to be the hardest. Could just be my experiences...
-1, didn't find it bad at all (could be because it was August and there was no one around).

Bad idea to have a car in Rome. We rented one on our way out of Rome. We stopped at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Villa_d'Este on our way out of rome. It was magnificent.
In Florence and Venice (obviously) there is no use for a car. We parked our car and just walked around. We found it useful because you could plan your own trip and not be meshubad to train times. Also allows you to go to other places which would normally be a real pain.
We visited Lake Como, going to the city called Bellagio which may have been the most beautiful place I've been.
We then went to Aosta/Mont Blanc. Really beautiful. Cool to have a snowball fight in the summer. Did the best white water rafting I've ever done.
Life isn't about checking the boxes. Nobody cares.

Don't make that kind of face when mentioning your TR. It couldn't have been that bad. Be more positive.

Currently booked as:

Su CX889, JFK-YVR-HKG, 10:40pm-6:55am +2
[in HKG for ~34 hours = All day Tu and most of We]
Wed CX703, HKG-BKK, 5:15pm-7:00pm
[at some point shortly thereafter, on some airline, go to CNX for 4.5 days -- don't currently plan on spending any time in BKK]
Mo CX702, BKK-HKG, 6:40pm-10:35pm
Tu CX888, HKG-YVR-JFK, 12:30am-7:00am

Because of the impending Hilton deval, I am thinking about adding 4-5 days to my trip.

I have to decide between spending that time at the Contad Koh Samui or jetting off to MLE from CNX to spend that time in Conrad Maldives.

What would you do?

Also, any "easy" way to get from CNX to MLE (I'm on mobile)?

Rationale?

Any thoughts besides that 1) I've already been there and 2) transfer costs?

3. Kosher food in USM.
4. Upgrade fee for OWB vs. no upgrade required in USM.

All good reasons.

I just don't get that... Excited (for lack of a better word) feeling when looking at the pics from Conrad USM. Just seems underwhelming for what it "costs."

Am I off?

Contrast that feeling with the feeling I got when my wife casually mentioned over the ETC tasting menu last night: "hey, isn't thailand relatively close to the maldives?"

<heart began racing>

"Why, yes it is..."

Let's see the breakdown, how many points+cash will going to Conrad MLE in an OWB cost vs. Conrad USM in a pool villa?

May be moot.

No MLE or USM axon availability for my dates.

I did book a 4 day award for the week earlier in USM, but that directly ruins my CNX trip... not sure I wanna do that.

I'd normally wait to see if anything opens up, but can't really do that, now can I?  >:(

Those are the days I'm scheduled to be in CNX doing active things... the next week is shavuos, which I don't mind spending in USM.

Don't want to reverse it such that I will be in USM for the non-holiday days and then in CNX for the holiday-days.
