The car? It's some souped up Taurus with 200 miles on it.
They never seem to give me an BMW/Infiniti unless I actually shlep out to the airport and I'm not about to shlep out just for one.

Hi, I'm looking for some ideas for a late December trip to Asia with my wife.

So far I have 3 days in Beijing planned, and plan on spending another day in Dubai on the way back. That leaves me with 3 or 4 days to spend somewhere else.

Having gone to Chaing Mai last year and having an awesome time I'm looking for a place that will have lots of interesting things to do or beautiful scenery.

A couple of places I have thought of but rejected as of now:

New Zealand sounds awesome, but it would be peak season there so I want to try it a different time. I'm intrigued by Puket/ Ko Samai but I don't want to go back to the same country, even though it's in a different part of Thailand. Bali sounds good, but it sounds like most of what to do there is beaches and temples, each of which presents problems. From the research I have done it doesn't seem like there is much to do in Vietnam or Cambodia.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Singapore?

Or start saving money to go to Amanpulo. No Tznius issues there

I don't doubt it, LAX is fantastic with upgrades.

Other problem is I'm doing a OW to BOS.
Locations don't usually like losing a luxury car like that.

I can always stop in BUF if I really want, only adds 9 minutes to the route.

And they're all fantastic, though EZE gets quite cold in the winter.
But if you're looking to avoid anything prust don't step foot into GIG. And beware that it can be dangerous there.

But if you're into nature/hiking/outdoors it doesn't get better than HI where the beauty is unparallelled, it's safe, your cell phone and cash work perfectly, you can walk into Costco/WM to buy kosher food, etc.
wife is balking at leaving the kids :(
no interest in traveling super far with them. would have to be less than five hours of flying and a little more relaxed vacation. also, the only week we can travel has 17 tamuz on Tuesday so I would need a minyan on Tuesday as well. anyone been to Maine? rented a place with a private pool? are there shuls there?
any other ideas? I hate the heat

Hertz @ LAX dosnt carry BMW's anymore! :( but they got a new selection of luxury and prestige cars!

Taurus is premium, and its pretty nice, although i dont like the pick up on it.
i just rented that one last week in SFO.

Right now this seems to be the plan. We have five nights (Wednesday night through Monday night). Hawaii seems too far for that, especially if two days will be shabbos (besides for the fact that award availability doesn't exist). Anyone have any other ideas?
