I am looking to go on vacation middle of july, on a budget (hope it wont be too hot) i have 35 k spg points and 100k aa as well as 35k delta and 120 mr points i also have a companion ticket for this year with delta as well.
I am looking for something romantic and nice beach and sun to relax for 5 days for my wifes birthday.
I am open to anything within 5-6 hours flying from east coast maybe carribean and i want to avoid hurricanes so i dont know exactly where and when the season for that is.
TIA
spg is very limited in carribean, I really liked the westin in st maarten but it closed down.
Any other ideas as far as places go? also trying to avoid hurricanes,
does anyone know if aruba would be a good option for me if yes where to stay or any other places based on my mileage etc. best bang for the buck.

Now that I have got so many AA miles it's time to burn them
I was thinking about a Europe trip in August, I have found availability in to ZRH and out 10 days later from CDG
I'm looking for ideas where to go in these 10 days I'm traveling with 2 kids ages 3,4
I was thinking about Swiss alps but food there is very expensive.
If you have any ideas that minimize spending $ but maxmize using some spg, ur, ba please let me know thanks

I stayed in the Westin in St John with my wife. I got it for about 12k spg/night. It's got the most beautiful beaches in the world and super quiet and romantic. Let me know if you want more info.

Isn't Hawaii the obvious choice?
Australia? Thailand?
Maldives+HKG?

there was a group of jews at the Equinox (SPG) in lower vermont when i was there, and a short walk from there there was a large group of chassidim at  anearby rental place where they had minyanim. if you pay/spend crazy points, u can get a roomy villa there, though i got the double queen bed room and found that room enough for me my wife and 2 kids (plus cooking supplies etc. in the sink area before the bathroom). vermont is georgeous and they have a huge reserve right off the hotel (u can go for a nice small shabbbos walk (considering techum, and not carrying any keys). they also have a nice kids playground, tennis, golf, big indoor pool that was empty...

Don't know when the minyanim happen,I went at end of august when they were there. We loved the equinox, it's an old place that is kept up nicely (but originally from 1700s), so it won't look modern, but really nice and relaxing. Beautiful grounds and huge reserve with all different kind of hikes 5 minutes away (we went with a  5 and 6 year old and had a beautiful easy level hike). The indoor pool is beautiful, there is a cool big firepit outside at night, here is tennis and other stuff (check website) and there is Bromley amusement park nearby, a basic place with an alpine slide and some fun water rides for family (was also filled with Jews when I was there). Also great shopping outlets nearby.

When you went for Shabbos did you take 2 nights?
Are they accommodating (keys.. doors..)?
Is it a 5 hour drive from NY?
