Thinking about a quick 2-3 day getaway to a place with good snorkeling.

Any recommendations? US only, east or gulf coasts. South FL, PR, and the USVI are the obvious choices, but there is no Avios availability and the cash prices are ubreasonable.

Any good snorkeling areas other than these?
Dates?

It makes no sense for me or for any other jewish couple for that matter to book a vacation 10 months in advance. Chances are that your wife will be either carrying, nursing, or Nideh... and it really takes away lots of opportunities.
Random thoughts? Although, I agree.

Why is nursing a problem? Just hard to do activities when you're tied down to a baby? I imagine being on a beach and having to nurse isn't the biggest hassle in the world.

Nursing for me means I can't leave the kids with my mom and go to Buenos Aires for the night ;)

Dates?

Chol Hamoed, 10/12-10/14 (could possibly leave 10/11 if the flight's late enough).

LOL

But that doesn't affect planning for a long vacation where you would bring your kids with you.

Flying on a 12 hour trip is difficult with children. Doing that plus a connection is torturous. Two longs flights is even worse...
Life isn't about checking the boxes. Nobody cares.

But for those who have kids already is it that big a difference between a vacation with 3 kids and one with 4?

You have a magic trick for cancelling a ticket you booked 4 months ago?

Paying the fee....  Like I said,  take an educated guess, and hopefully it all works

In most cases there in no way to take an educated guess for 9the months out.

Besides if your LOR gives you an easy bridge birth control  ;)

I hate to take this thread back on topic, but I'm debating between SEA and YVR for a short winter trip. Never been to either.
I only have Fri-Sun (or Thurs. night to early Mon. morning) so I'm just looking at places relatively close to LAX.

Thoughts from people who have been to both?

YVR rocks.
Even for just 1.5 days (Fri and Sun)?
