I don't see why not, but I've never been there in the winter.
Thursday night would give you Friday in YVR and you might even be able to squeeze in Whistler on Sunday.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Can fly nonstop EWR-SJU Sun-Tues for 22K ANA.

That's a good option, but I don't think it's worth it to spend close to 100k (need 4 tickets) for a two day trip just for the flights. That's why I was hoping there are some closer options, like GA or maybe something close to MSY.

In most cases there in no way to take an educated guess for 9the months out.

Besides if your LOR gives you an easy bridge birth control  ;)
Yup, that too.

I hate to take this thread back on topic, but I'm debating between SEA and YVR for a short winter trip. Never been to either.
I only have Fri-Sun (or Thurs. night to early Mon. morning) so I'm just looking at places relatively close to LAX.

Thoughts from people who have been to both?
Both are nice, but cold and rainy (or snowy) in the winter. I liked Vancouver better, but it was the summer so it was warmer. I'd say YVR is better unless you really want Indian food, the go to SEA. Also SEA has underground Seattle if it's really bad weather.
Even for just 1.5 days (Fri and Sun)?
Might be kinda quick.

I'm thinking of going to Colorado, November 9-11 for a short and nice vacation (break). Is it a nice idea? Or its only nice in the summer?

Okay, going to put HI on hold for now since a sooner trip (I know that's not proper grammar) has potentially come up.

After finding out about my company's PTO policy, I see that I won't have much time for trips, so I gotta take advantage of the holiday weekend we're forced to take off (no they won't let us work on these days). Thanksgiving - we're probably going to be let out early Wednesday, which means I can fly Weds night and come back Sunday. Where to go?

I was thinking of one of the new intl SW destinations, although from some quick searching, I can't find any flights from NY (I must be doing something wrong). Otherwise I have about 60K LH I can use. Any ideas?

One of the busiest travel periods of the year. Award availability will be more difficult.

Could be flights are just sold out so they don't come up. It's really tough to find flights/awards for cheap that weekend. Is HI still in the cards though? We're actually thinking of going the week of MLK Jr Day (I'm off) which is DW's winter break.

True, but not nearly as pretty.

PUTPAC. They have very few flights, and I think it is only possible to actually book them on the phone.

its a 2 day drive from Edmonton to ANC, so more like NYC >MIA
???????????????????????????????????
EDM - ANC = 1940 miles / 39 hours (as it's not real highway)
NYC - MIA = 1,277 miles / 18 hours (as it's real roads)
NYC - MEX = 2000 miles / 31 hours (as it's real roads)

Of course, but that's not like saying PCH is a must drive. Or the Seward highway is a must drive

I'm not saying it's not but I'm confused as to how you compared out to NYC-MIA

True, but I'm very flexible with my destination.

Yeah for sure! Just wasn't going to be till January (hopefully) and availability isn't opening yet, so I want to think more short term. That could be cool! I don't have a particular week in mind. My wife ends school the week before, but she's graduating so there's no rush to go necessarily.

PUTPAC. They have very few flights, and I think it is only possible to actually book them on the phone.
Thanks, I can try.

Anyone know the destinations they fly to?
CUN, SJU, UAU. Anywhere else looking into?
