So I have a Groupon for Tierra Sur.
Glad to take it off your hands if you need.

So I have a Groupon for Tierra Sur. Should I make a special trip to visit LA, maybe relax in PSP for couple days then fly back home?

Or just fly to LAX, go to Tierra Sur, then fly home?
PSP is a great place to relax, but it's over 3 hours from Tierra Sur. Might be a bit far for a quick visit.

1) It's never too early to plan a trip  ;)
2) Whats your concern that 10 days is too much, or there is too much to do there and 10 days is not enough?
3) You can do both Switzerland and Italy!

Yes, a long drive, but also a quick flight from LAX.

True, but between arriving at the airport before the flight, returning the rental car, flying to PSP and renting another car it could be worth the drive.

thanks.
my concern would be too much travelling/destinations  for 10 days and that there is too much to do in each place that i would almost be trying to grab too much and not gaining much

Yes, but when I would have a free leg LAX-PSP it makes it all equal. Personally I think 2 days is good in PSP before I start getting bored

I was very unimpressed with lunch at TS.

So you would recommend dinner?

I would recommend either. But I think I'm the outlier.

I was there in the summer for lunch and it was excellent. Could be it just varies.

Definitely varies as the menu is always different.

Main advantage of dinner is the ability to choose from the bar menu and restaurant menu.

True, but I always get fish, so it really doesn't bother me much.

Doh. FTFM.
Again, one trip to TS during the same menu cycle is meaningless.
If I went just during the July trip I took I'd agree with you. Not even remotely special.

But last December it was probably the best meal I ever had.

Challenges of a constantly changing menu.
