Amex AUs

I added 5 AUs to my SPG (I didn't give them socials when I called to add them, I told the rep I didn't have them).

I got the cards in the mail and when I go to americanexpress.com/activate it says we are unable to activate your Card at this time. Please call the 1-800# referenced on the sticker on the front of your card for activation.

I thought I read on here that people add bogus AUs all the time without socials and it worked fine?

Did you try calling? I've added before where I wouldn't let me activate online but they gave me no issues on the phone

I called and the automated system won't budge unless I give them a SSN.

Is this a new change? :/

You guys were right, spoke to real person and she activated all 5 AUs.

How come I still don't see them online through my amex.com account management? Do I have to register each one for online access?

I kept getting that when I tried with Chrome, no problem when using IE.

Was told str8 out that social # is not needed.

I guess that's why it didn't let me activate online. But it activate through the automated system using the main cardholders social
