Just curious if United is ever going to fix this problem. And a better question, how am I supposed to search for award availability if I actually want to know what's available?

Right. Which leaves me no way to search each day to see if anything opens up.
Pretty annoying to say the least.

What happens when you select the LH F flight on the 16th? Seems to work until the final page for me.

Get all the way to the final page, enter in my CC info and click to purchase and am then shown an error message and to call United.

What does long sell mean?

Once they somehow booked me waitlisted on Lufthansa and it workes but when I asked them to do that this time they said they couldn't.

Ok. I'm going to try. Am I guaranteed the seat with long sell? I have a coach seat booked at the moment and I don't want to change it unless I have it for sure.  Don't want to get stuck with nothing.

First agent I got said no problem and tried to do a long sell. She came back and said she can't do it for a Lufthansa award ticket. I told her I've done it before. She said she got a big error message in red! Transferring me a supervisor. Let's hope this works.

Yup they're probably not supposed to do it...

You can also try to get them to open UA saver J availability as the website clearly shows the LH F flight being available.
