Will look into it next week when I'm home.  Would hate to waste a day of work only for it to not be honored, and it's not like Avianca will stand up to Cartera or the like.
I jumped into UA MoM only once it was confirmed by Scott.  With US TIB I went in, but US has more responsibility than Avianca.

People that have called the call center even for basic awards or changes have had hellish experiences.  Can't imagine CS will be able to deal with the fallout from this. 
Much worse odds of thise being honored than if it was a US airline.
