Small List compiled for Flip phone service. Regular service with unlimited data and all to come.

1.Tracfone-All Carriers $20 Talk/Text 1GB ($30 for first 6 months)
1b. Unlimited talk and text, no data $15/month ($10 with auto pay)

2.Mobi-Verizon $10 (Additional $5 off the 1st three months)

3.Tello-Tmobile $8 , US Mobile.

4.HelloMobile-Tmobile $5 (first 2 months for $5)

-EXPLAINED A BIT MORE IN DETAIL-
Tracfone Wireless- (CDMA/GSM Verizon/T-Mobile/AT&T)
First 6 months at $30 plus taxes.
Pay for the first 2 months $15 each month with autopay, then use reward points for the next 4 months. Use Referral code OOAB-E354 to get you 8,000 points. You must activate and set up the rewards within 14 days of activating Phone service.
They limit 5 uses per month, so feel free to PM before using if you want to confirm they work for this month, as well they seem to be changing the referral code after every use. So feel free to post in the thread or message me for a new code.
The points will only kick in after 60 days of service(hence the reason for keeping paid service for 60 days) the points will kick in getting you 8,000 Points, which is enough for 4 months free. You can redeem 2,000($20) increments for a free month of service and do that for a total of 4 months free.
Now you must turn off auto pay after the first 2 months in order for the free 4 months that you added to kick in.  If you don't turn off auto pay it will continue billing your credit card and you will not get those free months until you turn off auto pay.
 Works on CDMA or GSM.

 Mobi Wireless- (Verizon/CDMA)
$10 a month. With a referral code you can get another $5 off the 1st three months which I can give you. You need to sign up in the first week for the referral bonus to kick in.
Click here to pm me for the info.

Tello Mobile (GSM/T-Mobile)
$8 Month with Unlimited t&t and no data. Picture message might not work without data services.
$10 unlimited Talk/Text + 1GB. 60 free international destinations - UK, Canada, France etc but not Israel
(Find someone with a referral code or $10 off referral code = P3VB48C7)

An att iPhone 7 can be used for att prepaid or even att mvno like h20...
So if you need to port out asap those are options

Also have an Iphone 8 under AT&T but that one can't be "officially" unlocked until my 2 year work plan is up, which is a year from now. But I guess you're saying I can use the Iphone 7 or 8 for any of the AT&T plans above just temporarily till I figure out a plan I want? Any specific recommendations from above?

Also redpocket is att service. 30.00 for 7gb per month

I see 3gb at $19 or 8gb at $30 - how fast does the SIM usually arrive? Do you just order one month online, then refill afterwards into an account. Sorry, all this is new to me for how it works.

Been on a work plan for last 5 years, switching jobs this week so need to find something within a week to get my number ported. DW is on a family Tmobile plan for about $30 a month all in with everything unlimited, but they can't add anyone to that plan. Trying to unlock an old Iphone 7 that was on AT&T, and then look for a new phone. Need unlimited talk/text and probably 5gb a month internet. In NYC area. Would probably buy an older version Iphone or something in the sub $200 range, just need a phone with an OK camera and for basic internet. Suggestions - going to look through this thread now, but haven't looked at plans in over 5 years so need a little guidance. Thanks!

* I saw the Altice plan but I'm a Fios customer, not Optimum.
Mint mobile is a good option. Unlimited talk and text with different options for data. Cheapest if you pay upfront for a yr

Mint seems decent if I pay upfront for 1 year 12gb plan at $25/month, but the phone needs to be unlocked. Trying to find out tomorrow if I can get my Iphone 7 unlocked. If yes, do you know how fast it usually takes for a sim in the mail? My only concern here is keeping my phone number. If not, seems like Red Pocket is a decent option too since I believe it will work on my locked AT&T Iphone 8, but again, need to know how fast they ship.

Mint I got my sim card 2 or 3 days later. Best buy is running a promotion for mint mobile for 12 months 12 gb for $240. If your iPhone is paid off you shouldn't have any issues getting it unlocked
Dont see any issue with keeping your number.

I'm loving visible at $25 a month (with 4 ppl party pay, otherwise $40) unlimited everything. You now get $100 back after 2 months of service (gives you a net profit).
I'm not who you think I am.

I believe it's paid off, though the 12 month one is sold out at BestBuy.com

Do you have any issues with the service randomly stopping to work?

My phone rarely gets it but a family member of mine gets it way too often. It says emergency calls only. No calls work. I have to toggle airplane mode.

Hopefully it will go away after they finish the network updates this week.
My Tapatalk notifications don't always work.

Never had that. It's only been 2.5 months so far.

It seems many of the Verizon MVNO only have 4G service and can't fall back on 3G. US Moblie stated as such and there are reports that Visible is the same.

Anyone have any info on which VZW MVNO does roam on 3G?

Or you can get one of the multimonth discount plans from eBay for example this. Depends how long you need it if it's worth it

There's also usmobile.com
And I've had bad experience with lycamobile. You can get similar plans from simple mobile on eBay which I found works better.
