Small List compiled for Flip phone service. Regular service with unlimited data and all to come.

1.Tracfone-All Carriers $20 Talk/Text 1GB ($30 for first 6 months)
1b. Unlimited talk and text, no data $15/month ($10 with auto pay)

2.Mobi-Verizon $10 (Additional $5 off the 1st three months)

3.Tello-Tmobile $8 , US Mobile.

4.HelloMobile-Tmobile $5 (first 2 months for $5)

-EXPLAINED A BIT MORE IN DETAIL-
Tracfone Wireless- (CDMA/GSM Verizon/T-Mobile/AT&T)
First 6 months at $30 plus taxes.
Pay for the first 2 months $15 each month with autopay, then use reward points for the next 4 months. Use Referral code OOAB-E354 to get you 8,000 points. You must activate and set up the rewards within 14 days of activating Phone service.
They limit 5 uses per month, so feel free to PM before using if you want to confirm they work for this month, as well they seem to be changing the referral code after every use. So feel free to post in the thread or message me for a new code.
The points will only kick in after 60 days of service(hence the reason for keeping paid service for 60 days) the points will kick in getting you 8,000 Points, which is enough for 4 months free. You can redeem 2,000($20) increments for a free month of service and do that for a total of 4 months free.
Now you must turn off auto pay after the first 2 months in order for the free 4 months that you added to kick in.  If you don't turn off auto pay it will continue billing your credit card and you will not get those free months until you turn off auto pay.
 Works on CDMA or GSM.

 Mobi Wireless- (Verizon/CDMA)
$10 a month. With a referral code you can get another $5 off the 1st three months which I can give you. You need to sign up in the first week for the referral bonus to kick in.
Click here to pm me for the info.

Tello Mobile (GSM/T-Mobile)
$8 Month with Unlimited t&t and no data. Picture message might not work without data services.

Hi,

Which prepaid company / plan is the best for some guy that visits the US many times a year and wants to keep the same number?

Either the cheapest prepaid plan and let it run for the entire time (can be on lowest plan, and upgrade when actually using for more internet)

Or if there is some other company that lets you keep your number for some time without refilling the line.
Thanks All, but I need it for a long term this Ting and others mentioned here are companies that wo knows will be around next year, he is open to prepaid off brands but the companies that exist.

I pay about $70-75 a month for 4 lines, with teens texting and talking a lot, making international calls (Israel, for example, is the same rate as the US). I guess it's a lot  :P depending on your expectations.

Does anyone have an opinion regarding Visible? It's the new low cost service that uses Verizon towers.

I have an old Sprint family plan with unlimited data, that's really unlimited.
Unlimited texts.
We split 1500 daytime minutes.
I currently have 7 phone lines, but may add an 8th.
All smartphones.
2 of my people's phones just plotzed.
They used to give each line a new phone every 2 years, but stopped a while ago.
I pay over $45 each line.

Before they buy new Sprint phones, I'm considering switching to a new phone company altogether. Even prepaid

Who has good service in (Brooklyn) NY?
Lots of data?
Reasonable price?

Im happy with MetroPCS in Brooklyn
https://www.metropcs.com/shop/plans (taxes included)

They offer port in discounts on phones

Im not sure how the new Google1 or Prime benefits work (I think they max out on 5 lines per an account so you should be able to double up or mix n mach)

The trick with Metro is to be on the look out for when they have promo rates and match to that, I would wait to see if they have a Black Friday deal.

CS is all in India and its not so good

Changing phones is a PIA that involves calling CS

The authorized dealer stores (and sometimes the corporate stores too) nickle and dime you adding on fees or adding on extras that you dont need.

Verizon prepaid just changed their plans and are pretty competitive. Discounts on multiple lines and autopay discounts ..

If happy with sprint service ,there is boost mobile etc..

If happy with tmobile there is metro.

Cross posting but I think it's a very good deal when using this method. If you add cards to your account at half off from Ebay any of vzw prepaid plans are essentially half off

"Ended up putting him on Verizon fully unlimited for 65 with autopay.
What's cool is that you can get Verizon refill cards on Ebay half off!"

What's the word on Cricket?
Is the coverage OK?
What about the data?  They say they strangle (on the unlimited plan) only after 22 GB on that line. Is the speed OK until then?  And movies are in SD quality.  Is that a problem?

They're promoting 4 lines for $100.  (3/ $90,   2/$80,  1/$55) unlimited plan.

Coverage is att since their owned by att.
Realize that plan the data speeds won't be too fast... its limited to 3mbps. For many it might be fine....
