downgrading from sapphire preffered to sapphire regular

if i downgrade my preffered card to a regular one:
1- is there an annual fee?
2- do i keep my points?
3- do i get the 7% bonus on january 1st?
4- do i still have the mcw coverage in israel?
5- is there a 3% international transaction fee?

2. Yes, but no longer transferable to miles/hotel-points from the Sapphire non-preferred card.
3. No. (FYI, it usually posts on SP cardholders February statement, not 1/1)
4. I don't think the Sapphire non-preferred is a WMC(/VS), but I'm not sure about this one.
5. Yes.

probably, but you should be able to tell them to close the regular and open a preferred

Can you upgrade from the Freedom? If yes I'd imagine you'd keep your points. You wouldn't get the 7% bonus on the merged in points according to their terms but YMMV.

3. wait for points to post
4. Close card immediately? Downgrade to reg?
5. Open a Visa if you have WMC and vice versa? Timing?

When I churned I just closed down my Visa after a year (transferring my credit line to a different card) , waited a month and applied for a MC.
