although there def was extra violence i have 2 points to make.
1) he def tried resisting arrest in the beginning (and prob on the couch also but hard to tell)
2)by the amount of cops who came running in to help i think its safe to assume that they radioed in that there was an officer in trouble. you dont do that if you want to beat up someone for fun.

The cops didn't have a warrant. They had no right to enter private premises, unless the guy that called was in charge of the premises (Which I doubt).

You may be right, but they may have confused the Shomrim with an Aliya security guard. Writers do that all the time.
