I agree he tried resisting arrest, but I don't think the onslaught which followed was commensurate with that resistance.

although there def was extra violence i have 2 points to make.1) he def tried resisting arrest in the beginning (and prob on the couch also but hard to tell)2)by the amount of cops who came running in to help i think its safe to assume that they radioed in that there was an officer in trouble. you dont do that if you want to beat up someone for fun.
The cops didn't have a warrant. They had no right to enter private premises, unless the guy that called was in charge of the premises (Which I doubt).
Well, isn't a security guard in charge of the premises?
