Ended up going to Mikes on Thursday...  Ordered the rib eye fillet and the waiter refused to make it medium /well, only could be medium /rare. Instead he offered me some kind of Crescent tip fillet that was not on the menu, I asked if they had anything with a pepper crust, and my steak ended up with some pepper seasoning on top. It was very good. Dw had the short ribs recommended by Dan, and she loved it.
Also Thursday had the genochee (how could I not). For desert, we had something called coffee and chocolate. It was chocolate cake and a coffee mouse. The amazing thing about it was, it tasted like the strong rich scent that you smell when walking into Starbucks

The following is my review of Mikes Bistro. I called for an 8pm reservation and the  host told me that she has only 7:45. I showed up at 7:40 and was seated at 8:10. :( The waiter brought over fresh rolls, which were delicious, and water. The following is what we ordered.

Raw Beef Duet $22- (1/5) It was three paper thin slices of meat and a small tower of some ground meat with an egg yoke on top. I felt that it was inedible and neither I nor the person I was with more then nibbled at it. Deffinitly something I would never recommend you order.
Short Ribs $47- (4/5) The ribs was out of this world. I just didn’t like the mush that they put it on. Also would have preferred if I could have chosen a side dish with it.
Crescent Steak $46- (3/5) It came with 3 pieces of steak and a steamed salad. While the steak was good, the portion was quite small and the steam vegetable it came with was not good.
Fries $7 (5/5)- The fries were great. A nice size portion and fresh!
Coffee and Chocolate $12 (5/5)- This has got to be from the best desserts I have ever had. Rich in taste and just awesomeness.

Overall I would rate it 2/5. From when I ordered, the food took 40 min to come out. I prefer it come out earlier as I indicated to the waiter however that did not happen. I can also confirm that the waiter refused to allow a steak to be ordered medium well. Something that I cannot understand. The room is also very loud and not a good place for a date IMHO. Im my experience, I would pick LM over MB and day

I also thought that the Crescent steak was small, but had no way to measure it...

Birthday dinner in one day, still don't know where to go. I love PG, but I have been there before and with those prices I am not in such a rush to go back. Any recommendations? Anywhere in the NYC area is fine, just a good steak place (or other kind of meat). Thanks!

Simple test:
Are you adventurous? Pardes.
Do you value ambiance? Reserve Cut.
Do you want incredible tasting food and don't mind smaller portions: Mike's
Are you looking for the best value steakhouse? Le Marais.
Do you want to stay in the Boro Park/Flatbush area? Glatt a la Carte.

Agree? Disagree?
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.
