Have a meeting mid-day at W Downtown (on William St).  Where's a good place to grab lunch (not Reserve Cut) somewhere a little more casual? Sushi? Pizza? Fleish? etc

Recommendation for a mid tier steakhouse (or similar) for a business lunch close to 31st and 5th?

(Edit) Last time we went to Mendy's and he wants to go up a notch or 2 to a "steak lunch". My search comes up with closest 2 options as La brochette or Abigaels. Is there anything closer that I am missing (he doesnt like spicy so Colbeh is out) and I know La Brochette is def not mid tier, would Abigaels be considered mid tier? or are these both High end?

Thanks for any recommendations

I'd say Abigaels is upper tier, but once you are going there I'd say just go to le mareis.  Middle tier might be the revamped Mr. Broadway, which isn't as formal but has a expanded menu and a bar inside.

Everyone's tiers are diffrent. I would say Abigaels and Le Mareis are mid tier. Upper tier would be any of the primes, Reserve cut,  Mike's etc.

Le Marais is just a bit too far for me. How would you compare La Brochette to Abigaels?

I've never been to La Brochette. My impression is that its the low end of the upper tier.

There is a new upscale restaurant opening in the fall in the (building of the) Andaz Wall St.

It'll be called Wall Street Grill (which is kinda silly from a SEO prospective).

im excited, but scared there isnt enough downtown kosher business for it and Reserve cut, and they both die.

+1. I also think la brochette should be considered upper tier, though i dont think the quality etc. is really there, the prices are about even and they seem to want to position themselves there. Note that sometimes at lunch they will try to give u a dinner menu, if there are no sandwich options make sure to ask for a lunch menu, where all the food prices are a bit lower (still about RC level, without the great $40 3 course deal).

+1 however just went to Abigaels and the consensus at my table is that they have gotten much better then the last time we were there.

I had the hanger steak a couple of weeks ago and it was great. Friend had the Wagyu and enjoyed it as well.
