Even when extremely busy its not terrible as they are pros at rushing you and getting you out of there. Good while you're waiting, bad while your trying to enjoy your meal/company.

I prefer that to Izzys where people chill for hours while a line of people wait for a table.

Still not going to have waiter service.
And he doesn't plan to knock down the wall. Probably will just be mroe aux seating that people will sit at for hours because there's no waiters keeping things moving.

The food is amazing though.

Anyone been to the Promenade Bar and Grill?

I actually have plans to go there tonight for the first time.
Since it's a bit unclear from your question... just making sure you are aware that Promenade Bar and Grill is a non-kosher sports bar (the  food part anyway); prime sushi @ promenade, which is in the bar, is kosher

I might be going there tonight too. The Brooklyn restaurant scene is a bit too pricey

I know this is really a manhattan thread, but if u havent shlepped on the 4 to izzy's you are really missing out. their dino ribs for $30 per lb is prob the best value in kosher dining, and their wings/beans/brisket/friedsmokedchicken are soooo good too. and you can bring your own beer. finally, Izzy is a real mensch, and its great to eat at a place with a friendly owner (shared some beer with us). Thinking about coming during lunch with nonjewish coworkers (yes its that good).

Le Marais - ok food, terrible service, cheapy vibe with old decor (though the lights are so dim that you cant tell)
Prime Grill - hit or miss
Wolf and Lamb - Pretty good
Solo - Closed
Prime KO - Pretty good though IMO they killed this location when they took away the downstairs
Tevere - Limited menu but amazing, more of on intimate place, best for quiet 1 on 1 dinners with SO.
Prime at the Bentley - been here 4-5 times and it was horrendous each time. (Gorgeous view from the John)
la brochette - haven't been since the rebranding

IMO id just stick with Reserve. It is (again IMO) the only real 5/5 kosher joint in NY. They are constantly adding new things and it's always amazing. Yes it's expensive but the ambience is not to be beat, as is the service. I also don't know who your guest is but it is a an impressive place even for a non-jew.

Prime at the Bentley.
Great view and ambience. Bland food.

I think the only other option would be Jerusalem Cafe - self service, slightly nicer pizza store
