True dat.  :)

Next time you gotta try Reserve Cut.
i wasn't blown away by mikes either. But I wouldn't go so far as to say it is better than Le marais! That might be pushing it.

Been there, but wasn't with DW, so I cheaped out and went for the $50 burger. One day, I'd like to go with her and be prepared for the price. I'm willing to try all 9 steakhouses in the city (I believe 9 is correct), but from the few I've been to, Le Marais is still my fav.

Don't bother. Their steak isn't worth 3x the price of an LM steak.
Their apps (and steak sandwich) are very good though :D

Maybe we'll go, soak in the ambience, eat some tacos and then uber to our pepper crusted steaks and chocolate souffle in Times Square.

If you like LMs pepper steaks then you should try Loft's version.

I can't believe you, of all people, aren't sick of RC. I'm sick of it, and I only went there once.

I was a tiny bit sick of it when I was there 23 times within a 10 week period, but I'm back to dreaming about it. I personally think it's the best steakhouse that I've been to.

Thanks, noted. We have to make our way to the Brooklyn options sometime.

+1, not a huge fan of Mikes but Le Marias not on the same caliber.

IMO, first exhaust Manhattan's finest before traveling to Brooklyn.

It's really only (amazing) pizza.  So just pick out the one you like with the toppings you like.  My wife liked the "Salad Pizza."  I've had "Quatro Stagioni" which I thought was great, too.

CS91 is correct. can't compare the aged steaks done perfectly at RC vs the costco level steaks at Les marais/loft etc. If i can make a steak just as good at my grill at home it aint worth $35-45, but I'm happy to pay for a special steak I simply can't prepare for $55-65 at places like RC and PG (or for certified angus at Tierra sur, at their relatively low prices).
If it ain't aged/angus, it is rarely worth the elevated NYC steakhouse price, though i understand going to les marais just for locational convenience, and I'm grateful its there.
Meant to mention, after a long time keeping it off their lunch menu, RC is now selling the Reserve Cut steak for lunch, which i consider their best value (esp if you're not a lean-lover)...

Exactly. Le Marais doesn't offer a piece of meat that is comparable to the aged wagyu at RC.

Just had a good lunch there yesterday:
Caesar salad. Had a little lemony taste to it, which I enjoyed. I wanted to order anchovies on it, but I forgot.
Marguerite pizza -- very good.
Salmon Panini -- good. I was a little surprised how much lettuce it included, but I enjoyed.
Was about $40 for the above, plenty of food for 3 hungry people.
Ambiance was fine -- you sit in a big corporate atrium, not exactly part of the restaurant.
The restrooms were awful -- shared with the entire building/atrium.  Wet and smelly.  Avoid (the restrooms) if possible.

They have a nice set up at the entrance to the restrooms, blue lights and something. But once you get inside
... It will haunt you!

You can get all those steaks at pomegranate in cook it at home ,if thats the case , but myself its the ambience and dining out the adventure nore then the real value you get , kosher steakhouses is definitely over-rated, dont get me wrong ,im a person that eats out almost daily and dine out in upscale restaurants almost weekly
