Quick Abigaels TR:

Went last night with my kids (sorry Dan)

Appetizers:

Crispy Asian Chicken: $14.50 Thought the quality of the chicken itself wasnt great but the flavor was good (had the same issue with the popcorn chicken at a lunch their late last week so I'm hoping this problem will go away after Pesach as all other times I had the pop corn chicken it was really good)

Short rib Tacos: $15.50 very good!

Sizzling Korean Short Ribs $17.50 funky flavor and too much vegetables, would have liked some more meat in it but overall I liked it

Kids meals: got them sushi 2 avocado rolls (Abigaels probably has the best sushi in the city definitely midtown) dont remember how much

Got a mini fajita steak salad for $12.50 great value and we liked it but the steak is a little fatty

Grilled chicken: Dont have a pic but it was one piece of grilled chicken with some mashed potatoes for $23.50 way overpriced as the grilled chicken was tiny but it was very good

Kids meals come with unlimited soft drinks nice touch

Mains: we split

22 oz. Brazilian Rib Steak $47.00 the flavor was a little funky but it was juicy and good. we had it medium rare of course

Abigael's Steak Burger (16 oz.) $28.00 was very juicy and the bun was soft and tasted fresh

Dessert we got the hot brownie ($10) as we wanted something quick and we got an extra scoop of ice cream so we gave 1 scoop of ice cream to each kid and we split the brownie (Sorry no pic)

Overall a nice time with great service as the restaurant wasnt packed

It is at their new location on 37th between 6th and Broadway. The online menu is for the old location, which as of last week was still open. The POKE has two sizes, with small starting at $12. Charge for extras (avocado, etc.).

Rumor going around that Bravo will be reverting back to non-kosher in their new location. Friend of mine just called the OK and was told that it's true.

Not sure about anything, just repeating what we've heard from the OK. According to them the old location will be closing down completely.

So is Poke the new Sushi? #ismellafad

I'm somewhat surprised a professional place like the OK will share proprietary business information like this with anyone who calls and asks.

It seems to be very popular in the non-kosher world, and recently started popping up in kosher restaurants. Honestly I get it almost once per week from Koshepoke.com I love the taste and find it a great value for a filling lunch.

Based on pervious poster, not in Midtown. I'm skeptical though. I find it highly unlikely that Bravo put that big investment just to make it trief.

So my friend called back to clarify and got this: the old location is going back to non-kosher shortly. The new location is kosher for now but "will eventually go non-kosher as well". Unclear what will happen to the old location if/when that happens.

It's all slightly contradictory and doesn't appear to make much sense, as everyone's noted. But this is the info I have ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
