sounds like nobu a famous non kosher restaurant. And trust me if it's kosher I would have tried it and heard about it.

I ussualy never order those because i hate good meat with sauce and of course not with sugary sweet sauce

But thier short ribs is worth to try and i think u can order it without the sweet sauce and they give it a sear in oven with a crisp ,

Their short ribs is like melt in mouth fat soft...drooling

Honestly i was by mikes maybe once or twice , i can't stand small dishes , like if  you want charge me double but give me something to see in my plate  , and as the other poster said , chef joshua of nobo is his talmid and i feel that nobo is very similar to mikes but with a heimish kick if you understand what i mean , so restaurants like mikes or basil that serve tiny dishes i can't stand them ,its probably more classy and nicer decor to be plated more small but not my game

Definitely worth to try nobo,  nobo is somehow still my favorite restaurant even i have tried most kosher restaurants in usa and even internationaly

Ok dan you probably kidding , nobo is definitely from top 10 in the kosher industry  ,no doubt , you didn't got my point i see ,but i would pay you a dinner on my behalf to try it....
