Yeah me too but guess they went in another direction. I do wish Paprika would open again, really liked that place. They did open a Paprika in Great Neck if you want to come visit.

This seems pretty current, they have a Passover 2023 menu.

Seems like every restaurant nowadays is in the $300+ per couple space in what used to be RC & Barnea etc. gone are the days of a decent dinner for $150. Inflation? Or any recommendations for decent places I am missing? In NYC area

The Lamb chili ($19), burger ($25 with fries and salad), and peppercorn crusted steak ($55 with fries and salad, also available as Tournedos without peppercorn crust) are all excellent. Or the base steak, salad, and fries is just $36. Top it off with warm chocolate cake and ice cream or a creme brulee for $12.

I never spend $300 on dinner unless i can expense it. When me and the Mrs go to these places we are strategic, no steaks (that’s the big price difference today), 3 or 4 apps (say$90) a cocktail and beer ($30), a single reasonable main with side that usually isn’t easy to make at home ($50) and a dessert or 2 (say $30).
That said, the key problem today is everyone pretends they are just as worth it as the top places, and they aren’t so u need to really choose wisely. Also we focus on places that showcase funky apps vs steaks.
Example bill attached, we came home full (thx to the delicious and well priced mur burger) and happy and they do have nyc prices.

$90 + $30 + $50 + $30 + tax & tip is close to $300...

Hot chocolate cake $12

Thread/poll idea, how much do you tip on a high end ($300 for 2?) dinner?

Is there a difference if you're paying out of pocket, company dinner or expensing?
