I hear ya.

But that dish was a hard 10. One of the best @jj1000 or I ever tried.

FWIU NYC restaurants ran out of veal, and they rebranded the dish a Duck Confti Gnocchi.

They claim it's even better... I have my doubts.

Interested in the foodies here's thoughts on tiers and pricing comparison of the top restaurants.
Would be very interested to see a reference price percentage above/below other restaurants (rough estimates).

I tried to post a fuller review of reserve cut midtown but lost it on the train. The place is absolutely stunning and grand, and the food and service were top shelf, but the star was the very reasonable 48 2 course lunch special (including their famous tacos) with an option for a great flatiron steak for $26 more (cut it into small pieces to ensure not being stuck with chewy parts but it was cooked and seasoned perfectly and a great value). Note I lost AT&T service underground but they have good WiFi.

Falafel tanami (manhattan) is permanently closed according to Google. Anyone can confirm or know what happened?

Seems so. Their website only has Brooklyn under "Locations" and I can't see but the heading says it https://tribecacitizen.com/2024/11/22/falafel-tanami-has-closed/

Such a shame. Article indicates they're planning on finding a new location:

"it seems the venting at the site just did not work — and neighbors were complaining. “We are so sorry for the disappointment!” their rep wrote. “But not to worry, we will be back open soon at a new spot in Manhattan" "
