Haven't gone to Talia's in a while so can't comment on food, though IIRC the price isn't worth the food you get. Especially annoying when they are busy (long waits) + when they have live music that is just too loud.

Anyone have any experience with Mike's off-menu tasting dinner?

I did! It was a really fun experience. 7 courses including most dishes not on the menu. (I had a jalapeno cocktail on an empty stomach so some of the details may be spotty)
Some of the highlights include the waldorf salad- apple, candied pecans, etc. interesting twist was what I believe were pickled grapes. Interesting flavor combo. A couple of appetizers in between including squash soup, bass, coconut-lemon sorbet as an intermezzo, veal sliders (meh), and pasta bolgnese (really good). The main was a Mediterranean style lamb chop. Really, really good. Dessert was vanilla ice cream served with almond liquor (I don’t think it was amaretto though).
None of the portions were big, but after 7 of them I was stuffed. Also, we didn’t get any of Mike’s signature dishes but that’s why we did the tasting, to try new things.
Overall, highly recommended if you want to try new things.

Any of the steakhouses, you can get steak, fries, salad:

Le Marais, TPG, etc.

Tiberias is yoshon
I remember when a coke was a nickel, and you could buy VRs in OD.

Anyone have experience with parking near Talias? Decent chance of finding street parking or should I assume I'll need to park in a garage?
